About Me

This is me on my horse. 

As an aspiring author and a passionate reader, I decided to built this blog so I could share my experiences with the world. I started reading and writing around the same time. It was J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series that guided me into the world of written words. I am still a bit unsure what to with my life. While I hope that one day I'll be able to live from writing, I have to be realistic. So I am studying Dutch and English linguistics and literature at Antwerp University. It is really interesting, but honestly I do not have a clue what I will do with is as soon as I managed to get my Master degree. Luckily that's still some years away.
Beside books, I also love horses. I own one together with my longtime boyfriend. The fact that I know quite a bit about equestrian and how horses function, is often a cause of great annoyance when I read (fantasy) novels. It seems there aren't many authors who do a lot of research on horses and how to ride them.
Right now my goals in life are finishing the series I'm writing with a co-author (more information about that on the current projects page), finish my education and visit Finland and learn Finnish. While I have never been in Finland, I have always been pulled towards the Scandinavian countries. It's something about the nature, the long snowy winters and the midnight sun during the summer. I don't like warm weather so I've never felt any affection towards southern countries.
